Ever since the Crown Group was formed over 30 years ago, the company has always contributed to various charities and community initiatives as part of an inherent desire to 'give back'.
However, it was until only relatively recently that we came to the conclusion that we were not utilising all of our collective actions to provide a more strategic approach to our charitable support.
Whilst we were able to support many good causes via our ad hoc charitable donations, we decided to bring all of our efforts together under one umbrella to give us a stronger platform to support those that need it the most.
As a result, the Crown Foundation was set up as an official charity and now has a board of Trustees who regularly meet to discuss its affairs.
Every year, each of our businesses will contribute to the Foundation via fundraising activities that can vary from a simple 'dress down Friday', right the way through to a sky-diving or climbing mountains.
To further support and incentivise staff, the Crown Group will match each donation made, pound for pound.
